I studied Human Resources Analytics and Management at American University. Currently, I am a tenant services specialist at Housing Counseling Services. I provide technical assistance to tenant groups to navigate their housing issues. I have a strong passion for team building and leading people to achieve common goals. As an entrepreneur, I was a driving force in the success of worker-owned coop, the Brighter Days Collective. Through client relations and people skills, this organization has grown through recruitment of clients and partners. I have had extensive HR related work such as hiring, training, performance check-ins, payroll and recruiting. I have over ten years of recruiting clients for businesses via consultations. I have advised clients post recruitment as well.​I first studied business when I enrolled at the Central Connecticut State University Bachelors of Business Management program from which I graduated in 2009. Over the years I have learned administrative skills from managing local bands in the music scene, retail jobs and pet care. While doing customer service in some of these jobs, I began my training in client relations. I have used personable skills for training workers, interviewing, recruiting clients and team members, net-working and motivating. In May 2020 I finished American University’s Masters of Human Resources Analytics and Management program where I have continued to develop my human resources skills and learned to apply the use of analytics to measure and enhance productivity.In the Spring of 2020 I was recruited as an intern at SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) where I learned more on how to apply data analytics to Human Resources. I worked on projects for on-boarding, performance management, new employee orientation and training, and wrote data-based reports and proposals for the human capital branch. My philosophy on business and growth is the human resource oriented theory that an organization’s most valuable asset is its workers. A worker must be valued from the very beginning, even during the recruitment and hiring process, a candidate must feel like they are being invited to join a team and add to it. This etiquette of valuing people first extends to clients as well.
