I am a junior at Pomona College, where I am majoring in music. At Pomona College, a rigorous liberal arts college, I am not only gaining practical musical skills like recording, performing both vocally and instrumentally, and research and writing about music - I am also learning how to be a flexible and creative thinker, rigorous attention to detail, and skills that transfer to all professions.In addition to music, I have a lot of experience with sports. I played baseball my entire childhood, but I am knowledgeable about most sports, especially baseball and soccer. Not only do I know the rules of these games inside and out, but I have personal experience with how sports can connect with people, bring people together, and unite them behind a common goal. Although I now just play sports for fun, the skills developed through sports and later honed through music - teamwork, hustle, quick thinking, physical health and well-being - have been an asset to me in a variety of situations.I love to work on projects - albums, gaining new skills, learning new languages. I am at my happiest when I am engrossed in a meaningful, rewarding task. I am always eager to collaborate, since I am extroverted, social, and love the exchange of ideas. I am an open-minded individual, and I learn quickly.
