At the Scouts Canada-run Camp Opemikon, I had the pleasure of working as a counsellor at the very camp I attended as a youth. I led groups of clients aged 9-15 in a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, canoeing, camping, orienteering, knot-tying and safe knife use. I was responsible for clients' safety and well being during their time at camp, including supporting their emotional and social needs and attending to basic first aid necessities.
