About Benjamin Tan
https://benjamintys.framer.website/I am transitioning into a new and exciting career in UI/UX design. Many would think that it is a completely unrelated career transition from the sports coaching industry. However, I'd like to challenge that thought and think otherwise! As a sports coach, I developed deep empathy and understanding of human behavior, honed my problem-solving and adaptability skills, worked and collaborated with people from vastly different backgrounds and practiced effective communication. Just as a sport coach tailors training programs to suit individual athletes based on their capability and limitations, a UI/UX designer personalizes interfaces to suit the needs of users while working within constraints and limitations as well. These skills are invaluable in UI/UX design, where communicating with stakeholders, understanding users, crafting resonating interfaces, and being creative with problem-solving is crucial.Despite my atypical background, I strongly believe my transferrable skills, unique perspectives from my past working experiences, together with my never-give-up attitude to always strive to improve my craft make me a great UIUX Designer!
