CurrentHelped encourage a suburban congregation to discover the real needs of poverty within our greater KC region. [Mantric example: “An aboriginal activist said, 'If you have come to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us walk together.” (Common Prayer, April 19).] Worked in a team setting to cultivate an environment with a singular focus: discipleship vs. duplicitous programming. Discerned and wrote vision, mission, goals within a perspective-diverse team. Oversaw and designed spiritual growth and discipleship ministries for all generations in a multi-site congregation (1,200 members). Encouraged and developed staff and volunteers. Selected, nurtured, aligned paid staff (also have let staff go). Mentored adult volunteers to discover and augment their gifts for ministry. Care and nurture of souls. Developed various curriculum and experiences. Developed and lead worship experiences. Preaching as needed.
