Collectively QBE Pride’s aim is to promote and deliver a better experience at work for LGBTI+ peeps and their allies. In 2017 my role was Communications Lead delivering timely comms to our network members and liaising with our events team to promote upcoming internal and external networking opportunities (and make sure peeps have a great time!).In 2018 I moved to the Events team to coordinate events and networking opportunities for our network but also managed external sponsorship events. I also lead the AWEI task force in 2018 with our goal to reach a silver( and we achieved gold!) level in the Australian Workplace Equality Index which is provided by Pride in Diversity. 2019 I was both the Education Lead and Co-Chair for the QBE Pride Network. The Education Lead role was very much aligned to my day role at QBE which is to analyse and provide learning solutions based on a variety of different ways of assessing education gaps in the organisation around LGBTI+ awareness in the workplace and the community. The Co-Chair role was to lead and inspire the committee to achieve the 2019 QBE Pride Network strategy.In 2020 - 2022 I continued to support the network and co-chairs in a mentor capacity.Awards:2018 AHRI Michael Kirby award for LGBTI Inclusion2019 Australian LGBTI award for Best Employee Pride Network 2019-2022 Gold Employer Status in the AWEI LGBTQ Workplace Inclusion Awards2020 Network Leader of the Year at the AWEI LGBTQ Workplace Inclusion Awards.
