Hi there and thanks for taking an interest in my profile.I’ll start by explaining my ‘Blue collar blood in a white collar shirt’ tagline. In 2009 I spent some time as 2IC for the stock replenishment team at Bunnings Stafford. It was my job to allocate different tasks to a group of up to 30 team members each night. Discovering how to get the best performance from each team member of this highly diverse team is what first sparked my interest in Human Resource Management. The son of two tradespeople, my pursuit for a career in Human Resources has been completely of my own accord. This has led me to develop very flexible skills regarding managing and communicating with people. I believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when dealing with people, especially in a work environment. The values that I consider to be the most important are honesty, fairness and integrity.In terms of my work behaviours I like to have a plan, exercise attention to detail, consider impacting factors and try to leave as little as possible to chance – needless to say I’m not a gambling man!I intend to pursue a graduate position in Human Resources upon commencement of my degree, preferably related to one of my areas of interest (fitness, music and Japanese culture). However at this stage I would be pleased with any generalised Human Resources role to better develop my skills. I am willing to work in any size of organisation and would be prepared to leave Brisbane to work in any location in Australia or the world should the opportunity arise.
