I work on digital policy and Internet governance issues in an international setting, engaging in bodies such as the ITU, the OECD, the IGF and the work of the Office of the UN Envoy on Technology. This work covers a range of technology policy issues, including AI, connectivity, skills, cybersecurity, privacy, data governance, and digital safety.

The MAG is a body that advises the United Nations Secretary General on Internet Governance and helps to organise the work of the Internet Governance Forum, including its annual meeting. I represented Microsoft in this non-remunerated position for which members can serve for up to three years.

I contributed to three chapters of the 2017 report prepared by the OECD on Key Issues for Digital Transformation in the G20.

• Represented Ofcom and the UK at EU and international governmental organisations, including BEREC, the OECD and the ITU.
• Served as Co-Chair of the BEREC Net Neutrality Working Group and Vice-Chair of the OECD Communications Infrastructure and Service Policy (CISP) Working Party
• Led policy development at the national and international level through negotiation and liaison with external bodies
• Assisted my organisation in understanding the international context, threats and opportunities in policy choices by working effectively and proactively with internal colleagues
