Completed PhD working on direct numerical simulations (DNS) of low-Mach-number swirling jets and flames. Used an open-source spectral element code to identify enhanced flame stability of vortex breakdown flows in next-generation combustors.

Managed design, development and analysis of components for new premium lightweight hydraulic pump. Performed structural, impact, and hydraulic analysis to optimize design, cut costs and improve delivery dates on new products. Designed fixtures for manufacturing, lab development and impact analysis. Responsible for product verification and validation in the lab to ensure product efficiency.

Worked as a design engineer on new product development of agricultural gearbox and driveline product lines. Performed failure modes and effects analyses through FEA and physical testing to ensure product safety and efficiency. Created tables for thermophysical properties of carbon dioxide as a fluid for use in refrigeration applications. Designed refrigeration system using CO2 as the refrigerant, and analyzed the environmental effects of current refrigerants on the ozone layer.

Networks International Corporation manufactures custom RF & Microwave Filters and Assemblies. As a mechanical design intern, I was responsible for implementing CAD models/drawings at a component and assembly level for all RF and microwave frequency filters. I utilized SolidWorks to create 3D fit checks and animation models for customers.

The FPSC is a productivity and billing benchmark system used by 90% of the nation’s academic medical centers to optimize performance of physician practices. Duties entailed mining benchmarking data to help identify opportunities for improvement in productivity and revenue performance. The educational process included participation in webcasts and in product demonstration to a pediatric hospital, as well as management of FPSC listservers.
