An experienced not-for-profit, media, and entertainment executive with over 25 years leading creative, ground-breaking, and award-winning initiatives.Currently, I operate as a consultant across a range of cause-related projects, helping organisations bring their big ideas to life. I lead on creative and campaign development for major initiatives at organisations including Comic Relief, Sport Relief, the NHS, Halo Trust, Hope and Homes for Children, and within the music industry. I offer innovative, rapid support to get new projects up and running across brand, creative, strategy, content, and activation.Previously, I headed innovation at the amazing charity Hope and Homes for Children, where I focused on delivering effective and engaging ways to further our mission: ensuring every child grows up in the love of a family, and helping to close all orphanages within 30 years.Before that, I spent seven incredible years running music and fundraising at War Child, where I delivered award-winning albums, singles, and the annual BRIT Awards concerts with artists like Coldplay, Killers, Bono, Muse, Blur, Kasabian, Take That, and Ed Sheeran. During that time, we secured a 2009 MOBO Award, Best Event at the 2015 National Fundraising Awards, and a Special Recognition Award at the 2013 BRIT Awards. I also led War Child's fundraising team through a period of remarkable growth, increasing income from £1.3m in 2008 to £7m by 2014, and winning Best Fundraising Team at the National Fundraising Awards in 2010.Earlier in my career, I worked as a journalist and editor for 16 years, holding senior roles at some of the UK’s biggest magazines and newspapers. I became NME's editor at 26, launched landmark titles for EMAP, and wrote for Smash Hits, Melody Maker, and Select magazines.
