Over the course of my professional career, technology has fundamentally changed the way financial market participants do their jobs. It’s helped create opportunities and efficiencies, while regulation has fostered more transparent markets. Since starting at Bloomberg in 2006, I’ve worked to build products and services that adapt to these changing forces, with a continued focus on client workflow and providing elegant and intuitive solutions. I am now focused on applying everything I have learned to the important domain that is the intersection of climate and capital markets. This is the purpose of the newly formed CMSI group. Prior to my role building CMSI, I served as the global head of product for the Bloomberg Enterprise Products Group, President of Bloomberg's multi-asset class swap execution facility (SEF) and CEO of Bloomberg Tradebook. In sum, I was responsible for managing product development and strategy across all asset classes of the Bloomberg Professional service for its trading, risk and trade order and execution management platforms.I previously served as Bloomberg's Head of Fixed Income, responsible for strategy and product development for our fixed income products and trading platforms. And I was also previously the head of Bloomberg's Trade Order Management System, or TOMS, which enables sell-side fixed income dealers to manage client order flow, inventory and risk exposure. Before joining Bloomberg, I worked at Goldman Sachs managing the credit default swap operations team, and at JPMorgan Chase & Co where I held several positions in interest rate derivative exotics for the middle office. I’m also a licensed pilot and a father. Though I’m passionate about the positive role technology plays in the markets, I’m also quite passionate about its potential for abuse among children. The irony doesn’t escape me – or my kids.
