    I worked in sales at WERC from 1982-1983, then went to WAPI-FM (95 ROCK) and worked there until 1984... where I landed at WZZK... then owned by NewCity Communications... I was an AE there for a year, then was promoted to National Sales Manager for two years, then moved to Local Sales Manager and eventually Manager of Local Agency Sales before going to Dick Broadcasting, where I was the Director of Sales. All in all, I was with NewCity Communications with WZZK (we eventually got another station, WODL) for 11 years. NewCity was a great company. Shortly after I left NewCity, the company was sold to Cox (a result of the 1996 Telecommunications Act, which relaxed ownership rules in the radio industry.) I did work for WRRS for a while and worked for myself doing consulting work for Arbitron (who hired me) and various other local businesses, including UAB, Inside Radio and several Birmingham publications.
