Museum Of Seminole County History, Sanford Fl

I am responsible for running the Museum, which includes all of its programming and tours, exhibit research and setup, coordinating volunteers and student interns, and collections management. I interface both with other facilities and departments in local county government, and with other museums and institutions around this and surrounding counties.I work closely with both the Historical Commission of Seminole County, which functions as an advisory board for historical affairs, and the Seminole County Historical Society, a non-profit supporting organization for the Museum and its historic preservation efforts around the county.

Dudley Farm Historic State Park, Newberry Fl

Dudley Farm Historic State Park is a working farm, with cattle and crops which needed tending and 18 historic buildings which require constant maintenance. I and a few other employees were responsible for this care and upkeep. Additionally, I led tours around the farmstead, helped manage several of our monthly and annual events, and demonstrated period chores and activities. As the Collections Manager for the park I was responsible for cataloguing and preserving the park's collection of artifacts, documents, and memorabilia spanning a time frame from the 1830s through the 1980s.
