Teach applied lessons in jazz piano to music majors, preparing students for coursework in ensembles, musicianship, and theory as well as covering core concepts to be demonstrated in end-of-semester jury evaluations.

As a creative arts faculty member, I offer instruction in piano, drums, hip-hop production, and vocal performance. I also engineer and oversee recording studio sessions at the facility and teach workshops and classes that focus on hip-hop songwriting and production. I also prepare students for public performances and perform alongside them in bi-monthly recitals open to the public.

I perform on piano with a variety of ensembles or as a solo artist providing jazz, R&B, soul, hip-hop, and funk music. I have performed at hundreds of venues including music and theater festivals, hotels, clubs, lounges, wineries, restaurants, private events, and more. I have performed with notable artists such as John Handy, Matt Wilson, John Worley, Aaron Lington, Tony Lindsay, Mike Olmos, Steffen Kuehn, John Shifflett, Jason Lewis, Jackie Ryan, John Wiitala, Idris Ackamoor, and more.

I taught applied jazz piano lessons to high school and middle school students in the Conservatory of the Arts. In addition, I was the faculty accompanist for both the high school's 107 Vocal Jazz Choir, served as the faculty accompanist and musical instructor in the Musical Theater class, and prepared and accompanied students who competed for Conservatory of the Arts scholarships or performed in the graduating senior recital.

I taught the course "Music in Western Culture" as part of the general education curriculum, covering musical concepts from the Medieval and Renaissance eras, to Classical and Romantic eras, to modern 20th century and jazz music.

As professor for the course MUSC 027A - Fundamentals of Jazz Keyboard, I executed a curriculum focusing on chord voicings, rhythmic accompaniment, harmonic progressions, melodic playing, and two-hand jazz piano performance.
