About Benoit Décot
Working as Project Manager for SBM Offshore, 10 years experienced engineer in Oil & Gas industry onshore, offshore and subsea. I am responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning work related to FPSO equipment and offloading terminals as CALM buoys. It includes tendering of the work, overall management, schedule, budgeting, reporting and cost control. I organize and supervise project teams composed of project engineers, disciplines engineers, site supervisors and buyers. I work in collaboration with several departments as Engineering, legal, Taxes, Logistic, Finance, Documentation, Security, HSSE, Compliance and being accountable for the project execution, coordination, risk management, cash flow management, cost, forecasts, deliverables quality, change management, client satisfaction and close-out report.Before joining Inspection, Maintenance and Repair department of SBM, I worked for EPC providers - TechnipFMC and SAIPEM - and a petroleum pumps vendor –PCM – where I brought my contribution as Pressure Vessel Specialist, Package Engineer and Project Manager.I am truly passionate about my work, my favorite moment is when a client calls me for problem solving. At this time, I know that an amazing story is starting and I will play several roles all long the project. I have the opportunity to work in collaboration with Majors – Saudi Aramco, Shell, Exxon Mobil, BP, Petrobras, Total, Equinor, Chevron – from start to completion. I am involved at tender stage in building the budget, planning and execution plan. Then I support proposal team to sale the contract and lead the preparation, execution, follow-up, monitoring, offshore mobilization and finding solutions. Focus on client relationship, I like to work in a collaborative and international environment that bring me today to focus on mechanical and hydraulic equipment installed on Turrets as swivels, bearings, HPUs, bogie system, structural connectors, etc..
