Its approach is based on state-of-the-art analytics and mathematical modeling as a way to support companies unlocking value by: - maximizing efficient use of resources - increasing revenues - reducing risks N-SIDE serves its customers globally in sectors such as steel, pharmaceutical, logistics, and power industries.Main aspects of the job:- Technical expert making the link between business needs and R&D- Design, development and implementation of new solutions - Project management for client-side implementation of existing or new solutions - Contract negotiation and account management- Support to pre-sales activities (project scoping, prospect meeting, commercial offers)- Responsible for the quality of peers’ modeling developments (large-scale nonlinear mathematical model)- RecruitmentBusiness expertise: steel industry, supply chain management.Typical achievement: design, development & implementation of a brand new solution for a customer (Solvay): understand customer's need and translate it into the appropriate mathematical model. This first project was replicated and led to the creation of N-SIDE's new solution NODE for industrial network design.

Mainly involved in N-SIDE's Steel team to develop SCOOP, a tailor-made software for raw material and product mix optimization for integrated steel plants. Main aspects of the job: development & improvement of mathematical models for different solutions (steel industry, supply chain management), customer specific implementation of the solutions (data collection & analysis, customer training, maintenance & support).Typical achievement: development of the corporate version of SCOOP (allowing the tool to optimize several production sites at once), drastic improvement of the computing performance of SCOOP.

PhD research in Management Science, Operations Research option.Main aspects of the job: research, talks in international conferences, writing scientific papers, part of the organising committee of the International Conference on Information Systems, Logistics and Supply Chain (ILS 2010), review for international journals, supervision and review of Master thesis.Main achievement: several awards in international conferences, papers published in international journals.

Research Project funded by the Walloon Region. Development of a framework coupling simulation and optimization techniques to determine the optimal parameters of various preventive maintenance policies in industrial structures.
