I develop and implement strategies and processes to drive software growth across NI’s Business Units with a focus on new offerings and capabilities.Success requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across Business Unit Leadership, Product Management, Finance, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and IT to influence strategic business decisions.

As R&D Section Manager, my teams were responsible for multiple software products, including MeasurementLink, TestStand, and TestStand Semiconductor Module. I scaled the team to nearly 40 developers to successfully deliver customer requirements within tight market windows.With a strong focus on people management, I represented NI’s R&D and Business Unit teams for the HR-led Performance Management Evolution project, collaborating with NI’s Executive Leadership Team to develop a new performance definition and rating system in support of NI’s “High-Performance Organization” Strategic Priority.

The teams I led in this role launched a new measurement framework that would become NI’s MeasurementLink software, developed advanced workflow capabilities for LabVIEW and the ECU Test System for the Transportation BU, and improved product performance for software built on NI’s Platform Framework.I also managed the “One Engineering” program, an R&D-wide initiative designed to improve our R&D team’s agility and efficiency through shared tools, behaviors, and processes.

Coached and mentored ~35 students each year with the St. Andrew's High School Varsity Swim Team.

Designed and developed a first-of-its-kind solar electricity charging system for rural sub-Saharan African villages, including engineering design, business model, and community impact, which launched in Fall 2013. Led 6 teams of Fellowship Program participants to bring clean water solutions to villages in rural sub-Saharan Africa in 2012. Member of the first ever Fellowship Program for Saha Global in 2010.

I completed this role as the #2 top seller out of a team of 35 for the U.Va. Strategic Ticket Sales team, selling football tickets for a team that had finished the previous season at the bottom of their conference.I used insights from past sales patterns and team data to create account-based selling strategies to achieve a high opportunity close rate.
