Responsibilities included all elements of the product lifecycle; concept design, design engineering, prototyping and testing (liasing with external testing companies for large scale testing), development for manufacture and the creation of manufacturing drawings. The design process involved communicating and meeting with manufacturers, both in the UK and in China/India to discuss the technical feasibility of projects as well as communicating key deliverables and timelines. I was also solely responsible for first article inspections/approvals and quality management.

I handled in-house prototype development and collaborated with external suppliers for specialist work. Additional tasks involved creating design presentation materials, utilizing in-house 3D printing for prototyping and testing, and writing project closure and hand-over reports.
