Responsibilities included all elements of the product lifecycle; concept design, design engineering, prototyping and testing (liasing with external testing companies for large scale testing), development for manufacture and the creation of manufacturing drawings. The design process involved communicating and meeting with manufacturers, both in the UK and in China/India to discuss the technical feasibility of projects as well as communicating key deliverables and timelines. I was also solely responsible for first article inspections/approvals and quality management.
