I am the lead SIEM Engineer for the Defense Contract Management Agency’s cyber security mission. My responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to, architecting and implementing a new SIEM deployment while maintaining the currently implemented solution, training members of the Engineering, Detection, and Incident Response teams in using the SIEM to detect and respond to identified threats that pose significant risks to the agency’s mission, and supporting other parts of the engineering team with projects that my past experience provides valuable input in completion of their projects and operations.• Administration of the LogRhythm SIEM, providing advanced threat hunting and detection rules that allow team members to identify threats within the agency’s enterprise network• Architecting and implementation of an updated and scalable deployment for DCMA’s SIEM solution to provide better operational capabilities for the cyber mission• Assist the Network, Firewall, and IDS/IPS teams in troubleshooting issues and providing invaluable input and assistance with team projects with a diverse skillset I have developed over the last eight years• Assist the threat hunting and incident response teams with identifying network threats and developing protocols and procedures to establish better ways to lower mean time to detections and resolutions• Continuous research and studies in various industry topics to better provide the ability for DCMA to harden its posture across the DODIN

I was part of a team of engineers implementing a new data center solution for the Department of the Navy. My role was as a Senior Network Engineer and I was tasked with the design, implementation, and security of the SPAWAR Data Center network infrastructure as well as the Out of Band management network. Additionally, I worked with the SAN Engineers to implement the EMC storage and replication solutions as well as with the Systems Engineering team with the design and implementation of the VMware vSphere 5.5 deployment.• Designed, planned, and implemented the SPAWAR data center production and OOB management network in preparation for data migrations from the old to new data center environment• Secured two separate networks utilizing the Cisco FWSM in conjunction with Catalyst 6509’s• Configured and managed Cisco ASA 55xx firewalls to secure DoD Navy data center networks• Maintained IPSEC site-to-site VPN for SAN level replication to Disaster Recovery site. • Collaborated with System Engineers for design of the data center virtualization of server resources.
