Site lead over all WCO (World Class Operations) Pillar activates with direct management of teams (15 total associates) working to reduce costs and / or eliminate waste in the Daily Operations / Autonomous Maintenance, Improvement Methods (root-cause problem solving), Training & Qualifications, and Progressive Maintenance pillars.

Continuing to hone my leadership skills, I managed and developed associates across 3 shifts of production. While our success in safety, quality, and on-time delivery showed great improvement, the best part of my time as a Department Supervisor was to see multiple associates who worked for me as machine operators continue there career development and move into leadership roles themselves.As a leader, our best trait is to develop others. It is a sentiment that sticks with me to this day.

Taking what I learned as a dedicated Lean practitioner I was able to lead a project to bring Timken Rail Bearing manufacturing to the 21st century standard. One completed, I was given the opportunity to manage the product line ensuring a successful startup.

Provided the opportunity to drive a complete culture shift in a mature manufacturing facility, I developed the 4-Step Lean Transformation Process. Key to our success was reshaping how every member of the Honea Path team though, from Plant Manager down to the newest of new hires. Setting a standard for how the work should be completed and measure against that standard, we helped create a culture where the current "current state" was just another stepping stone to the the future state. This helped in becoming certified as a Lean Leader for The Timken Company.

Initial class of Operations Management Development Associates completing 4 rotational assignments in Supply Chain (procurement), Shop Floor Supervision, Quality, and Lean Manufacturing. A great opportunity to see multiple facilities in multiple states as I was just starting my career, the OMDP at The Timken Company gave me a wide depth of knowledge in manufacturing facilities as well as forcing me out of my introvert shell by requiring senior leadership presentations on a semi-annual basis
