As Program Officer for Laureus USA I was responsible for initiating our 'Sport for Good City' coalition program in both New York City and Chicago. Additionally, I was responsible for screening Los Angeles and Philadelphia and making recommendations for how we proceeded programmatically in each city. My responsibilities and accomplishments included:- Managing grant RFP, application, and award processes across all cities in alignment with priorities of national corporate funders- Providing grants management and capacity building support to more than 30 grantees each year.- Establishing city-based coalitions in New York and Chicago with each group growing to include more than 50 local organizations in their first year. - Building and supportive a coalition Leadership Council in each city, and serving as a backbone organizer that provided the council discretionary budget to use towards goals identified by the coalition.- Managing funders and partners in each city through providing grant reports, updates, and new initiatives.- Fundraising for the growth of Sport for Good Chicago, leading to Laureus being able to hire an additional Program Officer and split my role in two.

Greater New York City Area

I was promoted to Director of the New York region for Up2Us Sports. As part of this role, I took on fundraising and partnership responsibilities for our 1.1M regional budget and met all benchmarks -- including bringing in new Foundation and Corporate funders in my first year. Through this increased fundraising, our New York regional team grew from 1 to 3 FT staff and 2 AmeriCorps members. I was responsible for hiring and managing this team.

Greater New York City Area

I oversaw the Up2Us Coach AmeriCorps program in NYC and Boston. This entailed supporting the hiring and onboarding process for more than 50 AmeriCorps members per year, providing support and professional development throughout the year, and tracking and completing all federal compliance paperwork to support continuation of the grants through AmeriCorps and OJJDP.

I was hired as the first full-time employee for Kids in the Game. As Program Manager, I was tasked with 1). Scaling the organization by building partnerships with schools throughout NYC's five boroughs, and 2). Building the internal structures to support the growth of our staff and partnerships. When I began working at Kids in the Game we were active in 5 schools with 10 PT staff, and by the time that I left we were working in more than 20 schools and had grown to 40+ PT staff and 2 FT staff. I managed all staff and school partnerships throughout this growth. In addition to supporting the company, I was instrumental in establishing the KinG Kids nonprofit arm to provide access to youth who couldn't otherwise afford paid programming.

I served as the PE teacher at Cooke Grammar School. Cooke serves young people with physical and mental disabilities from K-8th grade. In my role, I worked with the school's OT and staff to design programming that gave young people an opportunity to move their bodies and build agency through play and sport.
