I have and continue to work with Organs-On-Chip technology. For about a year and a half my focus was on working on the liver and proximal tubule projects. While on those projects I was responsible for optimizing cellular models of each. My current focuses are in gut biology and microbiology and utilizing the Organs-On-Chips platform for disease modeling.

Growing and passaging primary endothelial cells and hybridoma cells. Running gel electrophoresis and western blotting. I purified antibodies from serum and then crosslinked the antibodies with agarose beads. I ran Immunoprecipitations. I used fluorescent microscopy to detect apoptosis, necrosis, and healthy cell viability.

This was my third consecutive summer in this particular organic research lab. I helped out my coworkers in any way that they needed, ranging from helping set up or run a reaction to washing bottles that needed to be discarded. I updated their inventory of chemicals in storage and helped another lab out by putting together a binder of resources to help them.
