Served as a trusted advisor to the Resident Coordinator, members of the UN Country team, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel.● Coordinated the technical level substantive preparations towards the establishment of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum that provided a subnational platform for the Lake Chad region to discuss and collectively address challenges to peace, security, development and reconciliation. ● Facilitated a grassroots consultative process involving 1,100+ individuals located in Cameroon, Chad, Niger, and Nigeria and wrote a discussion paper which helped frame a sub-regional discussion on stabilization, reintegration of former militants, and addressing justice and reconciliation. ● Deployed to support the African Union in drafting key elements of the African Union/Lake Chad Basin Commission Regional Stabilization Strategy, which evolved into a framework for the AU and LCBC that addressed instability and insecurity in the Lake Chad region.● Worked closely with the Vice President’s Office to develop the National Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP) Strategy Document, which subsequently became the national framework for the Nigerian government in addressing the farmer-herder crisis. ● Working closely with the UN Peacebuilding Fund and the Human Security Trust Fund, I coordinated and helped conceptualize two inter-agency projects on addressing the farmer-herder crisis which were successfully funded to the tune of $8.3M.● Supported the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for West Africa and the Sahel in securing public commitments from political stakeholders to respect the outcome of the elections in the lead up to the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.
