Industrial placement completed as part of my Bachelor's degree. My role involved maintaining and adding new web applications to the suite of apps used in-house by the Nuclear Medicine department. I was the sole developer for the department and worked closely with radiopharmacists and physicians to create full stack software applications that would help with the overall efficiency of my department. These included:- An application for recording wipe test results. A wipe test counter would be used to record contamination levels of areas throughout the department and recorded as a CSV file. This file could then be imported into the new application which would flag any high levels of radioactivity and would store the results into a database accessible by internal employees.- A hospital room/bed booking web application. Previously the procedure of getting hospital room and bed bookings was very long-winded as it involved a chain of people from different departments filling out a form and emailing it to the next department. The application I created replaced the need for the long email chains, allowing members of staff to create booking requests which would then send alerts and show statuses of all active booking requests.- A web application for recording the results of SIRT procedures. A nuclear physicist could fill in a form of a patient's physical details and cancer information. The application would then do some complex mathematical calculations to work out the correct dosage of radiation to apply to tumours, and would let the physicist record all appointments and past/upcoming treatments.Tools used included:- ExtJS- PHP- MySQL- HTML- CSS- JIRA- Confluence
