Student ResearcherUniversity Of Maryland Aug 2014 - Dec 2015College ParkI conducted cell biology experiments on membrane assembly using Clampex software to read signals generated from data on membrane capacitance. As a student research, I was responsible for both conducting and analyzing experiments. The main research focus in this lab was ceramide channels that specificity dealt with lipids that are normally found in cell membranes. The ability of lipid self-assemble into larger and or more stable channels is anomalous in current literature. Not to mention protein regulations. Overall, the role of ceramide channels is important in apoptosis and has significant implications for future research.
