CurrentHarry the Hirer creates innovative and unique solutions for parties, events and exhibitions with an extensive range of marquees, flooring, furniture, catering equipment, lighting, audio-visual equipment, exhibition infrastructure and custom fit-outs. • Managed day-to-day operations of a 40,000 square meter warehouse comprising six internal departments and a transport logistics team, responsible for the management, security, maintenance, repair and timely distribution of inventory (Furniture, Exhibitions systems, Signage, Kitchen, Catering & Linen etc):− Delivered continuous improvement in operating efficiency, developing a clear performance framework to enable a data-driven approach to continuous improvement • Championed product innovation and established global sourcing and supply chain operations (with offices in China) to drive purchasing efficiencies and access products not available in Australia • Contributed to exponential growth for Harry the Hirer through the delivery of consistently excellent customer experience and innovative product sourcing and exclusive distribution strategies, creating a unique point of difference for the business:− Supported ongoing business transformation and organisational change within a scale-up environment, project managing local implementation of new ERP inventory management software • Led and developed a high-performing team fo 12 direct reports, 50 full time employees and 100 casual staff members, cultivating an inclusive culture and actively engaging employees at all levels in the continuous improvement agenda:− Maintained exemplary rates of employee engagement, retention, and performance and managed the team through the challenges of COVID-19
