Director of Grassroots Network for the Pennsylvania State University Alumni Association. Developed a political advocacy network among the over 435,000 Penn State Alumni. This network become politically active advocating for Penn State University with their elected officials. Developed working relationships with all PSU colleges and departments to ensure proper requirements were presented to state political decision makers and university leaders.

Director of Naval Air Warfare in Washington DC as the Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft Requirements officer responsible for defining the requirements for the P-3 replacement aircraft (P-8. Coordinated with Office of Secretary of Defense to develop this $1.3B program.

Executive Officer in 1999 and became the Commanding Officer in April of 2000.  Completed deployments to both the Seventh and Fifth Fleet AORs. Participated in numerous multi-national and real world operations including Operation Southern Watch.  VP-40 received the Battle Efficiency and Golden Wrench awards.

Responsible for strategic personnel plans and policy for the 13,000+ aviation officer community. Developed current day career requirements to meet constantly evolving technical and cultural work environments.

Defined the Tactical Training Team’s position in the Post-FRS training continuum and established maritime patrol’s role in the USW/SUW Center of Excellence. Developed P-3 community's future war fighting training requirements as the community moved into the post Cold War era.

Completed two Mediterranean deployments and participated in United Nations and NATO Operations in the Former Yugoslavia.  During his tenure as the Safety and Maintenance Officer, VP-26 completed its 35th year of accident free flying and was awarded the 1995 Golden Wrench as the top maintenance department in the Wing.

As the Aide to the Battlegroup commander was responsible for top level protocol and diplomacy at national and international events. Served as Admiral's representative. Prior to serving as the Admiral's aide was the Battlegroup Communications officers. Developed and implemented the communications plan for the entire battlegroup for several deployments. Completed two extended North Atlantic exercises, North Star 91 and Teamwork 92, and three Caribbean operations while embarked in various carriers including AMERICA, SARATOGA, EISENHOWER, THEODORE ROOSEVELT and JOHN F. KENNEDY.
