Chief executive officer of the provincial governing body for the sport of springboard and tower diving. I would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the Dive Ontario Board of Directors for their tireless work and dedication, and to acknowledge a few of the great things they accomplished during my 3 ½ year tenure:- The development of 2 new strategic plans - the High Performance Management Plan and the Sport Development Management Plans;- The execution of funding agreements with several new funding partners resulting in a budget increase in excess of 400%;- The implementation of a revitalized governance structure to provide for more timely and effective decision-making and a new, more streamlined accounting and bookkeeping system;- The establishment of a National Training Centre at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (TPASC) The establishment of the Toronto Diving Academy at TPASC;- The establishment of the Windsor Diving Club at the Windsor International Aquatic & Training Centre;- The hiring of a full-time Provincial Head Coach to oversee Dive Ontario’s programming at TPASC and to provide technical leadership to Ontario coaches and athletes;- The hiring of a full-time Sport Development Officer to provide administrative leadership, to liaise with funding partners, to prepare grant applications and to provide competition management services;- The acquisition of computers, projectors, signage and competition management equipment required to provide consistent and professional competition management services throughout the province;- The hosting and management of several Provincial Diving Championships directly by Dive Ontario;- The return of major international diving competitions to Ontario, including the Pan Am Games and 3 FINA World Series events; - Last, but not least, a significant increase in the number of Ontario divers participating on national teams and at national and international competitions.
