I discovered computer science in elementary school by working with Scratch and gained more ground during my freshman year taking computer science principles. Still, I had never taken much interest in it, so when I took AP Computer Science my sophomore year the last thing I expected to gain from the class was a passion for coding. Getting a full dive into the infinite possibilities of software development has made me enthusiastic about pursuing a career in programming. I have played soccer since I was 6 years old, I currently play for Timpview and La Roca FC and am considering competing collegiately. Soccer has taught me many lessons about leadership, coachability, and teamwork, and I am grateful for the opportunities it has brought me to compete within my city all the way to international levels. In my free time, I am constantly finding ways to improve my mind, body, and spirit. You can find me reading, studying, playing soccer, working out, running, practicing yoga, playing the piano and cello (poorly), or learning about God.
