Fund Analyst
A fund house with 8 funds under their umbrella with offices in Geneva, Guernsey, Ireland and Luxembourg; representing Investment Advisers from America, China, Europe and Japan; with a collective AUM between $1Billion -$3 Billion. I produced presentations and commentaries for clients and the sales team; provided daily reporting to data partners and stakeholders, including ESG reporting.Creating the presentations greatly developed my skills in Excel and PowerPoint. This evolved as Morningstar Presentation Studio was utilised. I added the static information into the Presentation Studio platform, applying the company's branding standards and formatting. Charts were produced from data taken directly from the source figures, alongside uploaded custom/dynamic data. This allowed the presentations to be automated, slashing the time to produce each fund’s presentation from days to minutes. This also enabled the facility to switch the share class and language of the presentations as required. By the time the automation project was finished, through my pioneering techniques, I managed to implement processes that the Morningstar support team had told me were not possible. Preparing investment adviser commentaries for publication developed my abilities in copywriting, proof reading and researching for data verification. The investment advisers for each of the 8 funds provided a monthly commentary which I would review to ensure consistency across the range; writing style, data formatting and brand messaging were harmonised, before conversion into PDFs and digital articles. The digital articles, accompanied by carefully selected images that represented the fund and maintained the branding values, were added to our website and then posted on social media through tracked links. This step helped me to become very familiar with digital marketing sponsored content, tracking and reporting, in addition to website maintenance and development.
