Working on projects on a partime basis for Well Engineering Partners (WEP) as SWE/Drilling expert, such as;Preparing and writing up Well Control standards and Drilling Operations guidelines for a Russian Operator and an International Drilling Contractor.Assisting Shell Libya (SEPLG) management team with their re-start up of operations after 2 years of a Force Majeur period due to the Libian revolution.Planning of an Abandonment a campaign for North Sea standalone wells & platforms. Instructor for pre-exam Shell Rnd-1&2 coures for Shell Russian drilling engineers working in Syberia, Sakhalin, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.Preparing and modifying custom build Rig for Shell Jordania.

Complete the Tender & Start-up of Rigs for the HPHT Explorations campaign in Libya.Senior Operations Engineer for EDC Rig 56 and responsible for all day-to day operations while drilling extreme challenging HPHT wells (level 3 Casing design &reservoir pressures varying between 15 and 20 kips & reservoir temperatures varying between 380-480 degF).After being evacuated from Libya in Feb-2011, completed a Rig survey’s for Shell Iraq and assisted Shell Egypt/Bapetco on closing out of action points from the Global team Health Check as well in assisting them in a start-up (survey) of a new Rig.

Started up 2 and prepared the start-up of a the third landrig (KCA/Deutag Russia, Siberia) Thereafter was the Senior engineer for operating these Rigs on a 28/28 schedule, drilling deviated and sub-horizontal development, appraisal and Exploration oil wells varying from 2600 to 3600 m in a new started venture.Contract Holder besides the KCAD rigs, Halliburton/Baroid mud and mud-recycling contract as well being the vocal point for Bits & Bit contracts.Prepared and updated at regular intervals, by evaluating in detail all data and performances, the Drilling Guidelines for Salym specific drilling conditions. As a result we managed to reduce our drilling times from an average of 28 days to an average of 9 days/well with the record well being 6.2 days.

Prepared/developed an assessment program/checklist to assess the A-09 process thoroughly from the proposal up till the execution program and accordingly performed a base-assessment throughout the organisation to evaluate the competency needs.Prepared/developed templates for Well Functional/Technical specs as well as guidelines for the Detailed Drilling Program.Helped PDO new intakes specifically on Well Control issues in preparation of their Shell Rnd 1&2 exams.Prepared and introduced a comprehensive Well Control procedure and equipment checklist including references for field staff as reference for being in compliances.Prepared and introduced Stripping procedure guidelines.Prepared an IWCF Well Intervention course manual for in-house use.

Senior Drilling Engineer running 3 onshore heavy-duty rigs, mainly drilling gas wells in a depth range of 4-5500 m, varying from highly deviated to sub-horizontal and horizontal wells & 2 x Level 4 Multi laterals. Together with my team, we managed to optimize well designs, implemented today’s new technologies and managed to reduce drilling times throughout the DtL & VAR process by  40+%. Due to our team spirit, very strong drive for optimization, we also managed to reduce our, avoidable, non-productive time to an average of around 5-7% for our onshore operations. Managed together with the drilling contractor and operations team to reduce the rigmove time, onshore, by 40%.As from mid 2000 also seconded to offshore operations whereby I particularly became involved/advised in ERD type of operations and proposed successfully the change in testing the integrity of wells, resulting in improved zone-isolation in the reservoir and minimising annular pressures. Have been mentor for the Drilling Supervisors throughout my time with NAM.
