Well Academy is a global training institute for the energy industry, founded by industry professionals with a passion to improve performance. We develop and deliver innovative training solutions and have been industry pioneers in introducing scenario-based well control training.
Well Academy was formed by the coming together of three well known training schools in their respective markets.
Murchison Drilling Schools: 1977 - established in the US by Bill Murchison Snr. who developed drilling operational training programs at the request of major oil companies and service companies.
WellTrain: 1997 - established in Australia with the start of the National Drilling and Well Control Program.
The Well Academy: 2012 - established in The Netherlands by oil & gas professionals passionate to improve well operations performance.
We provide first-class training from our dedicated training centres in Apeldoorn, Houston, Perth and Aberdeen along with our associated training facilities around the world.
We use our state-of the-art rig floor simulator which can be programmed with a wide variety of well control scenarios and drilling problems, enabling our experienced trainers to provide the drilling and well services industry with well control training solutions which are aimed at increasing both the competence levels and confidence of drilling and well service personnel.
