A full time student attending the University of Winchester, working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, looking to secure a position in the public sector upon graduation. As suggested by my degree, my passion lies within literature and all of the art forms that come under it's umbrella - poetry, novels, even music and film. It's impossible to have an interest in literature without caring for culture and history, which brings me to another huge interest of mine - travelling. Further from that I take an interest in politics, philosophy and sports, in particular rugby, 'soccer' and American football. I have a tendency to overload myself with work, meaning I can usually be found planning a lesson or researching a critical theory. Apart from this though I enjoy attending sports events, ie rugby or American football matches, getting lost in my headphones or reading on a train.I'm focused on turning my career towards education, partly because of my Marxesque Everyman attitude towards it. I believe that it should accessible to everyone in it's purest, most beautiful form, and not just seen as a tool to condition future workers. Without sounding too pretentious, I see it as my duty to do my best to deliver that ideal.
