Relocations of gas mains and services which are determined by plans provided by the City of San Antonio, Texas Department of Transportation, Bexar County and consulting engineering firms. Determine depths of the gas mains and services to clear all potential conflicts, prepared a Location Data Table (LDT) using an Excel spreadsheet, the LDT calculates the elevations of the proposed gas mains and services that cross proposed utilities to ensure that the clearance between our facilities and those to be installed by the City of S.A. Field work was another job responsibility; this entails taking dimensions, establishing elevations, interacting with contractors and associating with our gas foreman and inspectors. Proper scheduling and completion of projects is essential to meet project deadlines, acquired construction permits from outside agencies (city, county, state, others) for proposed construction gas facilities, attended meetings with other CPS departments including Construction and Customer Service, as well as other outside agencies, worked in system improvements, which deals with Commercial Customers and their gas load requirements and the development of Customer Meter-set ups. All of the above responsibilities require intense interaction with all levels within the organizations that are part of this gas planning process, requiring professionalism in order to communicate effectively, both written and orally. Communication skills are also required to deliver top quality work and to keep a uniform level of understanding among the different parties involved.
