This Strategy has been validated and promulgated, before being officially launched this November 2023.2. From July 2016 to August 2018, I was the Access to Finance Technical and workstream Lead of a technical assistance programme at national level in the Democratic Republic of Congo, called Essor: "Pour un environnement propice à l’investissement en RDC". This programme funded by UK's FCDO, aimed at assisting Congolese government stakeholders in strategizing and implementing reforms needed for a business enabling environment, improving at the same time its ranking in the World Bank's Doing Business Index. This multi-donor program aimed at supporting low- and middle-income countries in building stable, more efficient, and inclusive financial systems. FIRST was created in 2002 following the East Asian financial crisis and has funded more than 800 projects in over 120 countries.
