As IVD program manager for project ONE, I lead the development of a new - paradigm shifting - SARS-CoV-2 test. Our test only requires 1 minute of breathing and 5 minutes of analysis to generate lab quality results. It is based on capturing aerosols from breath and detecting viral RNA in minutes, using integrated ultra fast RT-qPCR.As the name indicates, this project is priority number one at imec.

Arkasense is a project at imec, with the intention of starting a newco in the near future. The aim is to develop an in-line / on-line sensor for protein monitoring, based on an innovative new sensing technology from imec. Currently, the TRL level of the technology is being increased and a demonstrator will be developed.
