As IVD program manager for project ONE, I lead the development of a new - paradigm shifting - SARS-CoV-2 test. Our test only requires 1 minute of breathing and 5 minutes of analysis to generate lab quality results. It is based on capturing aerosols from breath and detecting viral RNA in minutes, using integrated ultra fast RT-qPCR.As the name indicates, this project is priority number one at imec.
