I'm the CEO & Managing Director at Best Studio Ever, a curated collection of 12 professional bodyart studios. These studios specifically consist of High Priestess in Oregon, Deep Roots in Washington, HTC in Arizona, Barbella in Costa Mesa, and Ten Tigers in San Francisco. I've had the pleasure of being here since 2000 when we were a single studio in a basement. Every bodyart studio should have someone like me if they truly want to be successful. I'm an organized, problem solver, and planner who constantly strives for harmony, yet has never had a desire to become a body piercer themselves. Despite that, I do feel a deep connection to our body piercing community. What's different about me from other studio owners is that I enjoy the business end of things. I take joy in working with contractors, accountants, bankers, lawyers and paperwork all day. There isn't a single aspect of our studios operation that I haven’t somehow influenced. From outlining the day-to-day operations, to designing the layout and esthetics of the studios. I've facilitated the acquisition/expansion into all our new studios and designed the marketing and branding. I've had a hand in all of it.What drives me is a deep caring for our employees and their future. I work diligently to see that our studios provide all the amenities larger corporations offer which currently include: competitive commission percentages, PTO, health insurance, and retirement plans, but will hopefully someday also include profit sharing. I see the body piercing community as being full of beautiful and inspiring individuals. I believe we all deserve the same future anyone else in a committed, professional occupation would expect.Finally, I am a husband, father, dog owner, nature lover, CrossFit enthusiast, pop culture connoisseur, and aspiring Survivor contestant.
