These include: ADS Advance, Aerospace (Royal Aeronautical Society), African Aerospace, Arabian Aerospace, AUVSI's Unmanned Systems, Aviation International News, Defense News, FlightGlobal/Flight International, IHS Jane’s Defence Weekly, IHS Jane’s International Defence Review, Leadership for Equality and Diversity, Parliamentary Review, Shephard’s Digital Battlespace, Shephard’s Rotorhub, and Shephard’s Unmanned Vehicles.• Also partook in PR and marketing work for one organisation on an ongoing basis, serving as its contracted public relations consultant, and have also carried out copywriting in the form of developing marketing material for companies.• Show daily coverage at trade shows for a number of publishers, including FlightGlobal, Jane’s and Arabian Aerospace. Role requires working on a daily publication collecting news and producing stories from the respective show. This has included coordinating defence coverage and managing the team covering this beat.• Contracted to cover the industry and business desk for IHS Jane’s on an ongoing basis, working on average two days per week with the beat team to produce news coverage.• Cover press events and shows for the listed publications, providing news and analyses from the various shows.

Aerospace & defence reporter for FlightGlobal and its weekly magazine Flight International.• Responsible for news writing for the website and magazine, including news analyses on trends within the industry.• Contributed features for the magazine on programmes and equipment, including managing certain feature packages.• Worked on FlightGlobal’s daily international trade show magazines, which included taking the lead on editorial schedules and planning, managing a small team.• Covered conferences, events and media trips – primarily in Europe but also further afield – to generate material for the website and magazine. • Acted as the deputy defence editor on an ad hoc basis when the editor was unavailable. Involved planning the defence news section and editing copy to page, seeing the process through to print. • Edited freelancer copy to ensure it is factually correct and to house style, and worked with the journalists to produce interesting stories for FlightGlobal. • Responsible for editing the tablet version of the magazine on a rotational basis, which involved ensuring that it fit the digital format and was edited correctly. • Formulated the fortnightly unmanned systems newsletter that was distributed digitally, and was responsible for running FlightGlobal’s unmanned systems Twitter feed.• Managed my rounded contact base that I can call on to find out news and gather relevant and factual information for stories, something which I am still constantly building on and developing. • Worked with FlightGlobal’s overseas bureaus to manage coverage of topics and events to guarantee maximum team output and ensure that there is no duplication of efforts.• During this time I was part of an oversight board for the UK Department for Transport’s study into the public perception of unmanned vehicles, that will ultimately help shape government policy.

Senior reporter responsible for news and features coverage.• Began as an editorial assistant, moving up to reporter then senior reporter. • Role included: news reporting; technical feature writing; research; editing; proof reading; and website editing. This was for the website and a number of bi-monthly print publications that the company published. • Conducted interviews with military and industry figures, and built up a solid contact base in the process.• A substantial part of my job was attending international air shows and trade exhibitions, both as part of a team and individually, in order to generate content for the website and magazines. During these trips I often took a senior editorial role, leading the team. • Responsible for recruiting and training the junior member of the editorial team.
