As a first-generation Ghanaian-American and a seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist with a Master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, I've dedicated my career to improving communication and cognitive skills for a diverse range of patients. My passion for technology, however, was ignited during the 2020 pandemic, when I discovered the world of coding through gaming and telehealth. This newfound interest led me to the University of Texas’ Coding Bootcamp, where I earned my certificate in Full Stack Web Development.Now, as a Junior Software Engineer, I bring a unique perspective to the tech industry, leveraging my background in speech-language pathology to enhance user accessibility and interaction within web applications. My technical skills span across JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, and various databases, including MongoDB and SQL. I have hands-on experience refactoring codebases, integrating third-party APIs, and building full-stack applications from the ground up.Throughout my journey, I’ve honed my ability to think analytically, design creatively, and collaborate effectively within teams.
