I am an activator that thrives on initiating advancement and passion, and I care about creating justice and addressing societal issues through the nonprofit sector. I am currently an undergraduate at UW-Madison, majoring in Community and Nonprofit Leadership as well as Philosophy, with a certificate in Entrepreneurship. Post-graduation, I would love to get involved in the nonprofit sector. Some issues that I am passionate about are fighting homelessness and human trafficking. I have previously worked with in the nonprofit sector with Wisconsin Youth Company, which offers after school and summer programs in Dane and Waukesha Counties; I worked as a Development Intern, which involved donor management, education about grant writing, event planning, and more. I have also worked with Inspiring Hope Ministries, which creates accessible opportunities to pursue learning and creative arts for adults with disabilities. I work as a peer mentor and facilitator. Additionally, I have been involved with this organization as an Administrative Intern, working on program development and organizational improvement. Through this organization, I also work closely with Aspire Housing, which offers semi-independent living for adults with intellectual disabilities to live with others facing similar challenges. I work with a few adults specifically as a caregiver and peer mentor. In the past, I also had the opportunity to work with Upper House as a hospitality intern, which involved event planning, event coordination, and other hospitality elements. This opportunity was a valuable experience because it offered a different perspective of event planning and hospitality which will be useful in a future with nonprofits. These are just a few of the career opportunities that I have been fortunate to experience thus far. I would love to learn more through direct experience with nonprofits in the future.
