In working for Suitors of Northampton I had several responsibilities within my position, these included:Measuring men (and occasionally women) for suits.Recording these measurements and placing them on a computer system.Arranging and looking after my own appointments. Hand altering suits to each customers requirements. Dressing manikins and keeping general cleanliness of the shop.Checking suits brought back and booking the stock back in.Taking payments both card and cash. Suitors of Northampton have taught me many valuable skills in my short period working for them. The small, family business provided a close knit environment that really helped my communication and team skills. This was due to the small staff of 3 (including myself) having to run day to day business as well as produce, in busy periods, over 100 suits (all hand altered) a week. In having a small staff it also increased my time management skills, this is because of the back to back appointments during the summer wedding period. Each appointment could have as many as 12 suit fittings and this would have to be completed within an hour, to the highest standard - with all suits placed away ready for the next appointment. Accuracy was also a key skill that I have learnt here in both taking the measurement and executing the alterations. The clients depend upon this skill and so is essential in all work.

I proved myself to work well under pressure, such as busy sales events, and am well versed in the way in which customers of this high end product must be spoken to.
