Director Of Community Development
Responsible for supervising the 14 Community Affairs Officers operating in OCC offices across the country, managing the Public Welfare Investment function and oversee activities related to support for Financial Literacy initiatives and resources. As the Director I lead, motivate and develop a diverse professional staff. I develop and implement policy and operational improvements and manage performance, recruitment and retention. The community development staff is made up of 21 professionals focused on delivering the community affairs program in the field as well as processeing and managing over 900 PWI applications annually and supporting operational aspects of the division.Day to day responsibilties include:•Supervising a team of District Community Affairs Officers (DCAOs) operating out of the four OCC Districts across the country who serves as technical advisors on policies as it relates to CRA.•Serving as an expert on community development banking activities and OCC regulatory policies regarding Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) qualified investments and community development lending and services for national banks and federal savings associations.•Providing expert guidance to senior management, bankers, and other stakeholders on community development banking-related matters.•Effecting policy development through membership on high level OCC, interagency committees, and working groups.•Serving as an advisor to the Chief Counsel and Deputy Comptroller for Community Affairs on policy and practice issues relating to Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) qualified investments and community development lending and services.•Representing the OCC, Deputy Comptroller, and Chief Counsel in meetings and on task forces to participate in the development and revision of policy and issuances related to community development banking and CRA qualified investments and community development lending and services.-Providing leadership and direction for the PWI and FE team
