Maintained a caseload of families who’s children were in temporary foster care whilst going through court proceedings. I would facilitate ‘family time’ contact between the children and parents, during the contact I held legal responsibility for the child and would transport them to the venue, during the contact my priority was ensuring the child was safe and to de-escalate any issues that may arise. I would observe and evidence the contact, identifying any risks and liaise with the social worker. I also facilitated & evaluated groups around child development, parenting, attachment and bond, breastfeeding, young parents, speech & language and a youth club for young people with special educational needs.
