CurrentThe Flaherty Family Foundation provides high school college prep scholarships to high achieving students with economic need. Since joining the Foundation in 2015, Flaherty has grown the organization from three Scholars in one high school to 425 Flaherty Scholars in 36 faith based high schools in Minnesota, Virginia, DC, Maryland, Montana (Great Falls) and New Jersey. The foundation has grown from offering scholarship to include mentoring/coaching, college visits, additional funding for enrichment activities, career exploration, ACT/SAT prep and partnership with certain colleges in which Scholars are offered preferential financial aid. The Foundation has grown to support Flaherty College Scholars in helping them reach the goal of obtaining a college degree in four years (or less) with $22,000 (or less) in student loans. There are 120 College Scholars (fall 2020).
