Experienced educator who has 30 + years in the public school setting as a teacher, assistant principal, and elementary school principal. Served as an adult education math instructor, data and assessment specialist and currently delivers training for K-8 math teachers on the latest effective math practices. A proven record of success for 30 + years in education at the elementary, middle, high and adult education levels. Educational career began as a middle school math teacher for 11 years; assistant principal for 5 years; elementary school principal at Crescent Elementary School for 13 years; instructor for the adult education program at Southern Crescent Technical College and part-time as Data and Assessment Specialist at Griffin High School for 3 years. Currently, working at Griffin RESA as K-5 Math Specialist to support and coach K-8 teachers who want to improve their delivery of math instruction and gain their math endorsement certification. In addition, Also provides training for K-8 teachers who are interested in learning the latest research of effective math practices that helps them build their conceptual knowledge and pedagogical skills to improve student understanding.
