Very excited to take on a slightly different role at Dundee Science Centre. Alongside my current duties, I will be taking on the role of Visitor Experience Lead part time. I am looking forward to taking on a new challenge and learning some new skills!

I am really excited to start my new role as Community Engagement Officer and Activities Lead at Dundee Museum of Transport whilst continuing to assist with the curation of new exhibitions. I was selected to carry out this new role after successfully securing funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for the creation of a community sensory garden, running activities for children and young people as well as broadening our education offer. Working at Dundee Museum of Transport as their Collections and Curatorial Assistant has allowed me to work on a few projects alongside my day-to-day work of curating new exhibitions and successfully securing loans from organisations such as The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and The British Motor Museum. Quite excitingly I had the chance to work with HMS Unicorn to visit their Collection store and select a few objects for short-term loan to create a micro-exhibition with supporting information panels. This was a part of a reciprocal marketing campaign Dundee Museum of Transport launched with HMS Unicorn to help increase footfall in each other’s visitor attractions.In a further bid to increase our footfall I was chosen to administer funding awarded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to diversify the museum and increase its sustainability by developing new income streams. Administering this grant has allowed me to learn about business sustainability, how to attract younger audiences and take on the role of managing a budget. I have also taken on the task of recruiting and managing students currently enrolled on the St. Andrews Museum and Galleries course to curate and market “Cars, Cop-26 and The Climate Crisis”, launching in March.
