As the Coordinator of a community public oral health campaign for the Town of Hartford, Vermont, I have engaged the Hartford community in a campaign process to increase the awareness of public oral health issues and preventative measures available to the community. This has been a grassroots effort to build a team of community champions to share methods of increasing oral health to friends, neighbors, and elected officials.

This position, housed within the Environmental Studies Program, was designed to serve coordination and program administration functions for the interdisciplinary academic department as well as for the college at large. In this role, I advised and prepared students to identify and solve environmental challenges and assumed a leadership role in many sustainability initiatives. I also represented the department on campus-wide committees and the College on regional sustainability and campus greening programs.

Camden, Maine

This position was created in December 2001 to staff an aggressive effort by the Land Trust to conserve over 3,500 acres of land in a focal area recently identified for its high ecological and cultural value. My principal task was to develop strategic and tactical approaches to conserve all properties in the focal area while balancing speed of acquisition against conservation costs.
