Beth is an associate at 5th Studio with varied practical knowledge spanning the fields of urban design and architecture, and in strategic project definition, design and delivery. Since joining the studio in 2007 she has worked on a variety of building, infrastructure, and public realm projects. Her approach combines strategic outlook, with excellent visual and verbal communication skills and a very high level of care in relation to delivery and detail design.Recently she has led the award winning New Cross Area Framework and Station Opportunity study for LB Lewisham, TfL and the GLA. This study focused on an area of 1km around the station, an area anticipating great changes. The project has a significant stakeholder engagement component, co-ordinating, negotiating and integrating the needs and desires of all those that have a stake in the future of New Cross.Beth is currently leading a multi disciplinary team working on proposals for a Public Realm improvements across the highly complex site of the Royal Docks, London. The published Public Realm framework provides guidelines to shareholders and LB Newham, in an effort to activate the docks and establish crucial connections and pockets of activity across the highly complex site. Beth’s work leading the 5th Studio team for the Westminster on the Hospitality Business Recovery demonstrated her abilities to act quickly and decisively, and communicate and present effectively. This project has been highly regarded as successful in getting London’s West End “back on its feet”.Beth was instrumental in establishing stringent Quality Management procedures and leads the studio’s Quality System Management.
