K-12 VEX Robotics educational products for SC, NC, VA, DC, TN, AR

I currently teach only Physics but I have taught Astronomy,Biology, Chemistry, Meteorology, Geology, and Physical Science. I also do numerous summer camps most notably a NASA Engineering Design Challenge Camp at Roper Mountain and LEGO Robotics camps with FIRST Team 283.

Though not selected as an astronaut in the 2004 selection process my credentials were deemed appropriate to join a network of teachers that works closely with NASA. We (<200 nationwide) are treated to behind the scenes, up close, and personal access to professionals in the Aerospace field and take our knowledge back into the classroom and community. Starting a FRC team from scratch is a huge endeavor. Someone said to me "you are either crazy or ambitious." I just want the kids to learn, the community to rally, and to change the culture to one that appreciates science, engineering, and technology. I design and hold summer camps with students as assistants. When the community needs the robots and team at an event it is coordinated through me. I have enjoyed my seven years with FRC 281 but am excited and look forward to new beginnings with FRC team at my high school. I worked in a variety of positions from shipping and receiving, sample collection, sample preparation, and sample analysis. I have worked on Gas Chromatographs and Mass Spectrophotometers. This experience has made me a better teacher. I see relevance and job applications in all I teach.
