I’m Beth, an entrepreneur, artist and educator with expertise in business and non-profit development, public art curation and production, fundraising and financing, writing, public speaking, and art education. I’ve been an advocate for entrepreneurs and artists for 15 years. I believe deeply in both. In 2010, I founded Dashboard, an award-winning arts nonprofit specializing in large-scale public art projects. Under my leadership, the organization presented 80+ projects in varying U.S. cities including Atlanta, New York, D.C., Montgomery, New Orleans, and more. In 2015, I developed Dash Studio, a production and design house focusing on arts-driven builds and creative branding. Collectively, my two companies commissioned works from 500+ artists, created thousands of jobs and infused millions of art-driven dollars into local economies. I have secured funds for my projects from institutions like Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, Ford Motor Company Fund, Sara Blakely Foundation, Wish Foundation, and more. My work has appeared in the New York Times, Hyperallergic, Business Insider, HGTV, WABE, Washington Post, Good Morning America, Atlanta Journal Constitution, and many others. I consult with entrepreneurs, artists, city governments, developers, and businesses of all scales looking to improve their impact. Some of my clients have included Centers for Disease Control, Netflix, Mailchimp, Georgia Institute of Technology, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Havas Global, A3C Festival, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights. In 2017, I did a TED Talk, which has been seen 1.3 million times and translated into 33 languages. It’s now used to train medical staff in dementia and Alzheimers’ facilities. I also spoke at TEDxAtlanta about my work at Dashboard and the impact of art on local economies.I’m a graduate of Urban Land Institute’s Center for Leaders, Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta, Ford Motor Company’s Gathering of Innovators, and Independent Curators International time-based media intensive. I’ve been a guest lecturer and curator at the University of Georgia, Atlanta Contemporary, SCAD Atlanta, Georgia State University, and University of Wisconsin-Stout. I have been an expert panelist on innovation, curation, land use, public art, art education and community development.I’m a board member of FairPlay, an organization aiming to make great healthcare equitable and affordable. I have a Masters of Letters from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
